Con man Harold Hill likes to take advantage of Midwestern hospitality. He can’t play a note, but tries to fleece the people of River City by posing as a boys' band organizer and plans to skip town with their naive investment!

Until Marian the Librarian sees through him and begins to melt his conniving heart.

This hit Broadway show won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, after its 1957 debut, as well as the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

Now-iconic tunes include “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Goodnight, Ladies,” and “Till There Was You”—recorded by even the Beatles and performed on their first Ed Sullivan Show appearance, in 1964.
